Kerry on the Today Show

Senator Kerry was on the Today show. Let's see what he had to say:
Katie, let me say this to you. We won World War II. We won the -- the -- the Cold War. We know what we can do when we put our minds to it.
It's funny that Kerry only mentioned two wars--World War II and the Cold War. He could have mentioned Korea, that war was a bitter stalemate that left a maniacla regime in place that ultimately gained nuclear weapons because of Clinton's belief that Commies don't really want to take over the world, they're just tragically misunderstood. He could of mentioned the irst Gulf War, but he voted against that, even though it was a UN led operation. He could have mentioned Grenada, but he called the US a "bully" during that one. He could mention Panama or Gulf War 1.0, but well we don't want anybody thinking positively about the name Bush, now do we?

I also notice he failed to mention Vietnam as a war we could have won if it weren't for the failure of political resolve due to the anti-war movement.
We haven't done a third of the things that we need to do to win the war on terror [sic]. I think you can make the world safe if you begin to deal with the problems of not just using your military muscle in certain parts of the world, but also use our economic power, our ideals, reach out and bring our allies to the table.
For the life of me I wish this man would just tell us what the heck his plan is. He said he was afraid that if he mentioned his plan the President would co-opt it as his own. I think we're close enough to the election that he could begin to tell us.

Let me just look you and America in the eye and tell you this. Unlike Dick Cheney and George W. Bush, I put my life on my [sic] line for my country when it counted. I fought for this nation and I defended it as a young man and...

What doeas this have to do with anything? What is this non-sequitur that being in combat makes you a better wartime president? Lincoln and FDR were never in combat and they are two of our greatest wartime presidents. Hitler was a frontline soldier in WWI and he was a total idiot when it came time to successfully prosecute a war...thank God.
I will defend America as the president of the United States, and I have supported the biggest military budgets in American history [sic]. I've supported the biggest intelligence budgets in American history [sic], and I'm not going to take a second seat to anybody about the passion that I bring to defending America.
Really? Care to show us your senatorial vote record?
