Better To Remain Silent and Be Thought A Fool...

Via James Taranto, in the Opinion Journal's, "Best of the Web"feature (which oddly enough has never featured any snuggle bunnies, humph!) we read an excerpt of the New York Times' review of the new children's holiday movie, Polar Express:
Tots surely won't recognize that Santa's big entrance in front of the throngs of frenzied elves and awe-struck children directly evokes, however unconsciously, one of Hitler's Nuremberg rally entrances in Leni Riefenstahl's "Triumph of the Will." But their parents may marvel that when Santa's big red sack of toys is hoisted from factory floor to sleigh it resembles nothing so much as an airborne scrotum.

Someone, probably several someones seeing as this made it through the editorial staff, needs serious help. Whatever doubts we have had about the sanity of the NYT have now been resolved--they have none.
