Speaking of Those Crazy Leftist Senators...

...John Kerry was off visiting Syrian dictator Bashis al-Assad. Kerry said, "This is the moment of opportunity for the Middle East, for the U.S. and for the world. I hope that we would seize that opportunity."

What opportunity would that be Senator? An opportunity for America to kowtow to terrorist supporting anti-Semitic thugs or a opportunity for terrorist supporting anti-Semitic thugs to grow-up and be rational human beings before they get their rear-ends kicked in by an overflight of F-22's?

It might just be me, but I find it hard to imagine the senator left of Ted Kennedy inferring the latter of the two.

If nothing else Kerry now has his meeting with Assad to add to his collection of other notable tyrant pals.

Since the world is fast running out of communists I guess he's settling for Ba'athists these days.

Then the article ends with this delightful piece:

After Kerry left the Foreign Ministry on Saturday, 13-year-old Mustafa al-Nabulsi approached him with a drawing of the senator as a soldier in his Vietnam days.

"You have made me much more important than I was, though. You made me a general," Kerry said.

"I wish you were the president," al-Nabulsi said.

"Thank you very much. So do I," Kerry said.

Nothing quite like a staged meeting by children serving as tools for brutal thugs to lift you from your post-election-loss blues.
